Uberman is the world's most challenging Ultra Triathlon. The 556 mile course goes from the Mists of Avalon to the Snows of Mount Whitney. Starting on Catalina Island, participants swim 21 miles in the open Pacific Ocean to the shores of Palos Verdes. The 400 mile bike route leaves the city of Angels and climbs 20,000 vertical feet before descending to Badwater basin, at 200 feet below sea level, the lowest point in North America. From Badwater, athletes run 135 miles through Death Valley before ascending 13,000 feet to the trailhead @ Mt Whitney, the highest peak in the Continental United States. http://www.uberman1.com/#our-story-1
In October 2017 as part of my ongoing training and fitness regime, I competed in Uberman a challenging Ultra Triathlon in USA. Swim 21 miles, ride 400 miles and run the infamous Badwater 135 miles. I am the 2nd person to complete the course.

Three Radio interviews with ABC Sydney Radio. Here is the last one. My voice was affected by a combination of the dry arid conditions in the desert and the throat infection I had due to the 21 mile swim. During the swim some whales came up and left a mess in my swim. A combination of swimming through whale poo and being sick most likely caused the throat infection.
On the 15th June 2016 I started the Arch2Arc. This begins with a run from Marble Arch in London to Dover which I completed without support. Started the swim next day at 07:00am and spent 10 hours in the water. The water temperature was 11ºC and proved too cold for me. I had to pull the pin and try again. When I got out the water I asked the skipper to organise another boat date and three months later I was back to complete unfinished business.
